Sessions can be held in the comfort of your own home or at an outdoor location (like a local park or woodland) in Surrey or South/South West London. If you're unsure of a spot, I'm happy to suggest some beautiful local options.
-
Don't worry - this is completely normal! My sessions are structured to be relaxed and fun, giving everyone time to settle in. We'll play games, explore, and let your family's authentic personalities shine through naturally.
-
Absolutely! In fact, the majority of dogs we photograph outdoors are kept on a leash for safety. We often use a long-line leash during the session, and leashes are professionally edited out in post-production - you would never know they were wearing one!
We do advise removing any harness for the shoot, opting for a standard flat collar instead, unless you specifically want the harness featured in your final photos.
-
If it’s raining cats and dogs (pun intended) or we are facing an intense heatwave, we will keep a close eye on the forecast and check in with you 24–48 hours before the session. If the weather isn't cooperating, we will happily reschedule for another available date at no extra cost - we always avoid heavy rain or extreme heat for your dog's safety and comfort! Alternatively, if you'd prefer not to wait for a clear day, we can easily pivot and switch to an alternate indoor location instead.
And just an insider tip: don't worry if it's just overcast! Cloudy skies actually create beautifully soft, flattering light that is absolutely perfect for photography.
-
Coordinating colours works best - think complementary tones rather than exact matching outfits. Muted or earthy colors photograph beautifully. Avoid loud neon colors or big logos so the focus stays on your family.
When you book a shoot, I'll share my full session guide which includes styling advice.
